Personal Profile

Painting and Art Instruction are my true passions in life.  I consider myself a natural born teacher and take great joy in seeing my students learn and achieve their goals. I am a people person and pleaser, patient, devoted, savvy in the ways of teaching, outgoing, energetic and one who  takes great personal pride in being able to convey   and share my knowledge with others. I am reliable and  easily follow policies.

Most of my critiquing is done by focusing on the positive. Students feel less  demoralized when errors are considered impersonal.            I would  love to  chat   with  you  on  my  teaching techniques that  work and  would  be  thrilled to  demonstrate these. I am a  fast     painter which is  an asset when doing demos with my students.

I study art from all the sources possible and devour book after book on different medias and techniques with the goal to expand my knowledge and sensitivity towards art in all its manifestations.

I have traveled extensively to different parts of Canada, USA &  Mexico to visit Museums and Art Galleries with the purpose of analyzing  and studying it all, new schools and their new tendencies, and in the process, enriching my art with the latest trends. A true professional  knows he can never stop learning.

I do as much plein air painting possible. This I feel is the mother of   all painting challenges which results into very valuable lessons.
